TEDxSalford appointment

I'm thrilled to announce that TEDxSalford have recently appointed me as their IT Director.

TEDxSalford is one of the largest TEDx events in the world with the first event being held at the start of 2012 in MediaCityUK. Since its inception, TEDxSalford has continued to bring world leading intellectuals and thinkers under one roof for the local community to engage and provoke debate.

The role, which is voluntary, starts immediately and I will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical aspect of the event and its organisation. Primarily through heading up and working with a team of volunteers to manage all online, server and IT related services going forward.

TEDxSalford will return this year on 5th October 2014 and will be hosted in Lowry Complex which can house almost 1,800 delegates.

Some of the speakers confirmed so far include:

  • Nobel Peace Prize winner, Tawakkol Karman
  • Ann Summers Chief Executive, Jacqueline Gold
  • Teenage inventor, scientist and cancer researcher, Jack Andraka
  • Comedian, actor and writer, Robin Ince

More speakers are to be confirmed in the coming months. For a full line-up check out the speakers page on the TEDxSalford website.
